The development and production companies of the gSPARKs 001 consortium invite young people to join our challenge and develop and implement their ideas in our workshops! If you have an innovative idea and need space as well as financial and professional support for development and prototyping, this is the opportunity for you.

What do we offer?
Co-financing of up to EUR 2,000 worth of materials for the production of your prototype.
Free access to the development and production services and equipment of our companies.
Mentoring and technical support from experienced professionals.
How to participate?
Submit your idea via the Application form. (You can apply even if you don’t have an idea yet.)
The companies will review the received ideas and information about the participants.
We will support the selected ideas by co-financing the purchase of the necessary material** and by free** use of hardware and computer equipment in our workshops.
** The final amount of financial resources invested and the available time for free use of the equipment will be individually determined by the commission for each selected idea, depending on its complexity and scope. Together with the other conditions, they will be written in the business agreement concluded between the author of the idea and the participating companies before the start of cooperation.
Conditions of cooperation:
The deadline for the monthly opening and processing of applications is the last Monday of the current month.
The selected applicants can work on the development of ideas and prototypes during the agreed period of 2-3 months.

RULES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CALL
Purpose and objectives
These regulations determine the conditions and procedures for the implementation of the call, which enables young engineers to develop their ideas and make prototypes in cooperation with successful small Slovenian companies.
Conditions of cooperation
Applications must be submitted via the official application form by the deadline published in the call text above.
Submitted ideas must be original and feasible within the available funds and capabilities of the companies.
The process of gathering ideas
3.1 Publication of the call: The call will be published on the companies’ website and through various channels (social networks, schools, universities, business incubators).
3.2 Application of ideas: Authors of ideas* submit their applications via the official application form, which includes a description of the idea, goals, intended prototyping process and intended material. (*The applicant describes the idea, if he already has one. If he does not have it yet, the organizers of the call will help him find it – if he is selected on the basis of the remaining answers in the application.)
3.3 The deadline for submission of applications is in the above text of the published call.
Idea selection process
4.1 Verification of applications: After the deadline for submission of applications, companies will check whether the applications meet all the conditions for participation.
4.2 Evaluation of ideas: Companies will form an evaluation committee that will evaluate the received ideas based on the following criteria:
Innovativeness and originality of the idea.
Feasibility within available funds.
The applicability and market and sustainability potential of the idea.
4.3 Selection of ideas: The Commission will select the ideas that the companies will support. Each selected idea will be assigned the value of the material** that the companies will purchase for its implementation, as well as free access** to the development and production services of the companies. (**The final amount of financial resources invested and the available time for free use of the equipment will be individually determined by the commission for each selected idea, depending on its complexity and scope. Together with the other conditions, they will be written in the business agreement concluded between the author of the idea and the participating companies before the start of cooperation.)
4.4 Notification of authors of selected ideas: Selected innovators will be notified within 14 days after the deadline for submission of applications. The remaining applicants will receive constructive feedback.
Implementation of ideas
5.1 Purchase of material: Companies will purchase the necessary material for the selected ideas in a predetermined value** (see 4.3).
5.2. Pccess to workshops: Selected innovators will have access to the workshops and development and production services of companies free of charge** (see 4.3).
5.3. Mentoring and support: Innovators will be provided with mentors and technical support from experienced business professionals.
5.4 Prototyping: In agreement with companies, innovators will develop and produce their prototypes within a pre-agreed time frame.
Project completion and presentation
6.1 Completion of the project: Prototypes must be completed according to the dates written in the business agreement (see 4.3).
6.2 Presentation: The closing events, where the innovators will present their prototypes, will be carried out in accordance with the agreements written in the business agreement (see 4.3).
6.3 Assessment of achievements: The committee will assess achievements and provide feedback.
Intellectual Property
The intellectual property resulting from the developed prototypes will be the property of the authors of the ideas (and the companies that/if they will participate in the development phase of the individual supported project). A more detailed agreement will be concluded with each author of the idea individually (see 4.3).
Individual agreements will include all aspects of the development and business relationship between the authors of ideas and entrepreneurs.
Companies reserve the right to use the prototypes for promotional purposes, and will also credit the young engineers as authors or co-authors (*) of the idea. (*Co-authors in the event that companies will also participate in the development and upgrading of the idea.)
